First Article Inspector

First Article Inspection is to ensure the quality of products according to engineering specifications and customer requirements. Specifically, the Inspector verifies compliance of materials and products including but not limited to incoming materials, products in process and finished products. Providing consistent documentation which will be a quality record of the supplier and customer for review of accountability and planning, for performing periodic surveillance and audits to verify conformance. These records will be used for evaluating root cause and corrective action for any non-conformances, and for problem investigations.
Provide objective evidence that all engineering design and specification requirements are properly understood, accounted for, verified, and documented.
Responsible for processing first piece inspection in the most efficient manner while meeting the drawing/planning specification /requirements for the operators to produce quality parts.
Maintain and control First Article Inspection documents and findings.
Blueprint Reading and Interpretation.
Support 5S program.
Assess the results of the First Article to determine the significance.
5 years' experience performing first article inspection /CNC machining back ground.
Experience using mechanical measuring instruments including but not limited to; calipers, micrometers, gages, optical comparator, etc.
Experience calibrating and using small hand tools
Fluent reader of engineering drawings. blueprints, engineering sketches, specifications, and tolerance requirements
Excellent math skills and accuracy required.
Experience in Quality Assurance program, preferably ISO 13485:
2003 & ISO 9001:
2008 Quality Systems
Experience in the inspection of custom injection molded plastics and assemblies.
Micro-Vu measuring equipment experience a plus
Skilled using indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision parts.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize statistical methods and tools for quality analysis.
Proficient computer skills preferred (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements.
Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs (over 25 lbs.) with assistance).
High School Diploma or equivalent candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
D&T proficiency required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
