The Facilities Maintenance Technician position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating facility maintenance, performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of American Injectables' business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily facility inspections to identify immediate and long-term equipment/systems deficiencies.
Complete general maintenance tasks as required.
Hang equipment, move furniture and equipment, maintain all facilities During inclement weather may assist with outside maintenance tasks - Paint, light bulb maintenance, etc.
- General upkeep practices May be required to Respond to emergency equipment problems and repair Facilitate third party repairs as needed.
This may include, but is not limited to, minor plumbing repairs such as water leaks and plugged sinks and toilets, minor clean-ups of spills, minor carpentry, etc.
- Paint, light bulb maintenance, etc.
- General upkeep practices Regulate heating and cooling thermostats throughout the buildings according to established guidelines and coordinate such with HVAC contractor Minor repairs on HVAC equipment (belts, filters, etc.
) - Respond to building alarm system according to established procedures - Remove excess trash and assist in breaking down excess cardboard for recycling - Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to read and understand SOPs pertaining to facility requirements Must be able to troubleshoot and/or program HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and alarm systems Must have comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials and finishes such as carpet, drywall, paint, framing, doors, concrete, EIFS and various roof systems Must be able to communicate effectively to establish good working relationships with both internal and external customers The ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions and basic knowledge of general maintenance English speaking Ability to pass a background check Education/
Experience:
Must have high school diploma / GED and 3 years of experience in building maintenance or related area Must have 3
years experience in commercial building maintenance, including materials, means and methods of construction Physical Requirements:
Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity Must be able to bend, sit, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, stand, walk, and turn/pivot intermittently up to ten hours per day, five days per week (extended hours may be required as necessary).
Capable of lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying over 60 lbs.
from floor level to overhead position Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach, associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing (with computer), filing, calculating, and use of telephone.
