Southern Valley Homes is a Custom home builder offering affordable yet luxurious homes to the Greater Tampa Bay area and is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team.

This role is full-time, Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Review invoices for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper approval before payment.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies.
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including W-9 forms and contact information.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations.
Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure accurate recording of expenses and proper documentation.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role is required.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial processes.
Proficient in using Quickbooks and other accounting software as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Familiarity with the construction industry and related payment processes is a plus.
Must be able to complete background check Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
